Contractor Opportunities
The Washington, DC office of Sandler and Travis Trade Advisory Services (STTAS) has periodic
opportunities for independent contractor support in its engagements for Federal Government contracts;
US Government funded or foreign government funded customs, immigration, and trade modernization;
port operations; security; or revenue generation projects in foreign countries, or with commercial
companies doing business or wishing to do business with the US Government.
STTAS supports customs and immigration governmental authorities and international trade businesses
with strategic planning; development of business requirements; reengineering for information technology
development; applied technology acquisition and deployment planning; organizational change management;
and, import and export regulatory requirements.
The majority of opportunities are currently in areas such as US Customs and Border Protection commercial operations;
border management operations; Citizenship and Immigration Service modernization; and Immigration and Customs
Enforcement technical systems development. Future opportunities could include areas such as food safety;
product safety; seaport security; consumer protection; foreign port infrastructure or process improvement;
trusted traveler or trader initiatives include mutual recognition by governments; implementation of free
trade agreements; and program management.
Retired or former Government personnel with expertise in the subject areas or from agencies with responsibility
for those subjects are especially encouraged to submit a resume. Applicants with commercial company experience
in any of the subject areas are also encouraged to submit a resume.
This is a notice of potential opportunities not a solicitation for specific engagements. You do not need to reside
in the Washington, DC area. It is helpful if you have a current or previously held a Government issued security clearance.
